LBJ National Grasslands

Go on a birding
hike led by a Master Naturalist. Birding field
trips take place monthly on the LBJ National Grasslands.
This is a great way to get outdoors and learn or improve
birding skills. The hikes are led by experienced
Master Naturalist. Contact the Caddo/LBJ National
Grasslands (U.S. Forest Service) office in Decatur for
more details 940/627-5475. (If severe weather is
threatening, please call before 8:30am to make sure the
hike has not been cancelled.)
There's always
something fun & interesting going on at the Fort Worth
Nature Center & Refuge. Check out the bison herd,
the prairie dog town, winter waterfowl on the Trinity
River, migrating songbirds, go canoeing or attend a
guided interpretive hike. Special programs
scheduled throughout the year.
